Explain controlled access before choosing equipment
Tell the rental contact about check-in, visitor approval, induction or escort arrangements that apply at the property. Describe the work area without disclosing sensitive site details through public channels. Ordinary portable restroom categories should not be assumed to have specialist ratings for a restricted or hazardous environment.
Review the overlap between shifts
Give the busiest likely combination of employees and contractors using the facilities, not only the regular day shift. Identify existing bathrooms open to those users and whether the work area changes. Review the proposed quantity, washing and service pattern with the responsible site team.
Keep one approved route for rental visits
Identify who authorises entry for delivery, service and pickup, and explain available visiting windows. If a shutdown or security change affects access, update the rental contact before the visit. Confirm extension and removal arrangements so the unit is not left behind after the project team has departed.
Fit the rental around controlled access
Explain escort requirements, vehicle restrictions, induction arrangements and any delivery booking process before scheduling a visit. The receiving contact should know both the sanitation plan and the property’s entry rules. Do not send a driver to a visitor entrance if equipment deliveries use a different gate.
Temporary shutdown or ongoing operations?
A shutdown may bring in contractors beyond the normal workforce; an ongoing operation may have several shifts. Describe that distinction when requesting quantities and service. Place facilities where intended users can reach them without entering an unauthorised work area.
